About Drift Boss

Drift Boss is the purest one-button game on the site. A car drives forward along a narrow road that zigzags through empty space; hold the button and it turns one way, release and it turns the other. That's it. Miss a turn and the car drops into the void.

The road never repeats, the speed creeps up, and the score is how many turns you survived. It is the game people open for thirty seconds and close ten minutes later, and the coins you collect unlock new cars that change nothing except how you feel about the next attempt.

1. The car drives forward automatically along the road.
2. Hold to steer in one direction and release to steer back — you are always turning.
3. Stay on the road as it zigzags. Falling off ends the run.
4. Collect coins on the road to unlock new cars.

Drift Boss tips

• Tiny taps, not long holds. The corners are gentler than they look and overcorrecting is what kills runs.
• Look one corner ahead — by the time you can see the turn you're on, your input should already be made.
• Don't chase coins that sit at the outside of a bend.
• The speed rises gradually. If a run suddenly feels wrong, it's because it is faster, not because you got worse.
