About Escape Road

Escape Road is a police chase where you are the one being chased. You drive an open map of streets, alleys, fields and highways with squad cars closing in behind you, and the goal is simply to stay uncaught for as long as possible while the pursuit grows from one car to a swarm.

The driving is arcade — you steer, you drift, you take corners far too fast — and the tension comes from the map rather than the physics. Take a route with too few exits and the police cut you off; keep to open ground and the sheer number of them eventually does it instead.

1. You start with a police car on your tail. Drive.
2. Every few seconds of survival adds distance and score; more police join over time.
3. Contact with a squad car or a wall slows you enough to be caught.
4. Collect coins around the map to unlock new vehicles.
5. The run ends when the police stop you. Survival time is the score.

Escape Road tips

• Straight lines lose. Corners are where pursuing cars overshoot and you gain space.
• Use the handbrake before the corner, not in it.
• Avoid dead-end alleys and enclosed car parks entirely — one police car in the entrance ends the run.
• When the swarm gets big, head for open ground and keep turning; they collide with each other.
