About Burnout Drift

Burnout Drift is about holding a slide. You pick a car, take it to a circuit — the seaport is the signature map — and score by drifting: the longer the slide, the higher the angle, and the faster you're going, the more points per second. Straighten up or spin out and the combo ends.

There's no lap race and no rival; the scoreboard is the opponent. Cars can be upgraded and tuned, and the handling model rewards learning one car properly rather than buying a faster one.

  1. Pick a car and a track.
  2. Enter a corner fast, flick the steering and tap the handbrake to break traction.
  3. Hold the slide with throttle and counter-steering; points accumulate while you're sideways.
  4. Link corners without straightening to keep the multiplier alive.

Burnout Drift tips

  • The handbrake starts a drift; the throttle sustains it. Holding the handbrake just spins you.
  • Counter-steer toward where you want the car to go, not into the slide.
  • Smooth throttle keeps the angle steady — stabbing at it snaps the car straight or spins it.
  • Upgrade tyres and suspension before power; grip is what lets you hold an angle.

Burnout Drift — questions

How do you drift in Burnout Drift?

Approach the corner with speed, flick the steering into it and tap the handbrake to break traction, then hold the slide with the throttle while counter-steering. Points accrue for angle, speed and duration.

How do you score more points?

Link corners. Ending a drift resets the multiplier, so keeping the car sideways from one corner into the next is worth far more than several separate good slides.

Does Burnout Drift work on a Chromebook?

Yes — it's a 3D game, so close other tabs and lower the quality on older hardware.
