FreeCell Solitaire Blue is a clean implementation of FreeCell: four free cells and four foundations above eight tableau columns, everything dealt face up, and no stock to draw from.
The cells work as temporary parking for a single card each. Using them well — and, crucially, emptying them again — is the difference between winning most deals and getting stuck halfway.
Each holds one card temporarily. They're what let you dismantle and rebuild sequences, but a card parked in a cell is out of play until you can place it, so filling all four is usually fatal.
It's more demanding to think about but far more winnable — nothing is hidden, so with careful play the large majority of deals can be solved.
