About World's Hardest Game

The World's Hardest Game is a red square, some blue dots, and a death counter. Move the square through each level's maze of moving blue dots, collect the yellow coins, and reach the green zone; touch one dot and you restart the level with the counter ticking up. Thirty levels, no power-ups, no story — just patterns to learn and timing to nail.

Snubby Land released it in 2008 and it earned its name honestly. This page runs the original through a browser Flash emulator, death counter and all. Most players finish under a thousand deaths; nobody finishes under a hundred without practice.

1. Move the red square from the start zone to the green end zone without touching a blue dot.
2. Collect every yellow coin on the level first — the exit won't count until you have.
3. Dots move in fixed patterns. Watch a level before moving to learn the rhythm.
4. Each death restarts the level and adds one to the counter. Reach level 30 and finish it to win.

• Wait. Almost every level has a safe moment in the pattern; rushing is how the death counter grows.
• Move in short taps — the square moves fast, and most deaths are from overshooting.
