About Stick Golf

Stick Golf is golf reduced to a two-dimensional side view and a stick figure with a club. Each hole is a small course of hills, bunkers, water and slopes; you set the angle and power of each shot and try to reach the hole in as few strokes as you can.

Because it's 2D, everything about a shot is visible before you take it — which makes it a pure judgment game rather than a guessing one. Under par is genuinely achievable, and genuinely satisfying.

How to play Stick Golf

Aim
Move the mouse to set the angle
Power
Click and hold, release at the right power
Touch
Drag and release
  1. Aim your shot by angle and set the power with the meter.
  2. Hit the ball and watch it bounce and roll.
  3. Avoid water and bunkers, which cost strokes or distance.
  4. Sink the ball in as few strokes as possible; par is the target.

Stick Golf tips

  • Under-hit rather than over-hit. Rolling short is recoverable; over-shooting into water isn't.
  • Use slopes — landing on a downhill adds a lot of roll for free.
  • Low-angle shots roll further; high-angle ones stop dead. Pick for the terrain.
  • Take the safe two-shot route over the risky one-shot line on holes with water.

Stick Golf — questions

How do you take a shot in Stick Golf?

Set the angle with the mouse, then click and hold to fill the power meter and release at the level you want. Both angle and power matter — low shots roll, high shots stop.

What is par?

The number of strokes a hole is expected to take. Finishing under par means you did better than expected; the score across a round is the sum.

Does Stick Golf work on a phone?

Yes — drag and release to shoot. It runs in any browser with nothing to install.
