About Golf Solitaire
Golf Solitaire is the fastest solitaire there is. Cards are laid out in rows above a single waste pile, and you can take any exposed card that is one rank higher or lower than the top of that pile — regardless of suit. Each card you take becomes the new top, so long chains are possible.
The whole game hinges on chains. A well-planned run can strip half the board in one sequence, while taking the wrong card first strands the row behind it. Deal from the stock when nothing matches — but the stock is finite.
How to play Golf Solitaire

- Deal
- Click the stock for a new waste card
- Take exposed cards that are one rank higher or lower than the waste pile's top card.
- Suits don't matter.
- Each card taken becomes the new top card, enabling chains.
- Deal from the stock when stuck; clear the tableau to win.

- Plan the whole chain before the first click — a chain that ends one card short can strand a row.
- Clear the rows evenly rather than stripping one side.
- Take the card that exposes two others over one that exposes one.
- Save a stock deal for genuine deadlock, not for convenience.
