About Flight Air Traffic Control

Flight Air Traffic Control is a line-drawing strategy game: aircraft enter your airspace and you draw each one a path to its runway. The difficulty is that paths cross, aircraft travel at different speeds, and two flight paths intersecting at the wrong moment is a collision.

It starts calm and becomes genuinely stressful, which is exactly the appeal — it's the closest most people will get to understanding why air traffic controllers are paid what they are.

How to play Flight Air Traffic Control

Draw a path
Click and drag from an aircraft to its runway
Redraw
Draw a new path to replace the old one
  1. Aircraft enter the airspace continuously.
  2. Draw a path from each one to its matching landing zone.
  3. Planes and helicopters use different runways.
  4. Avoid any two aircraft meeting; one collision ends the game.

Flight Air Traffic Control tips

  • Route aircraft around the airspace edges rather than straight across the middle.
  • Stagger arrivals by drawing longer paths for the ones you can't land yet.
  • Redraw a path rather than watching a collision develop.
  • Handle the fastest aircraft first; they close distance while you're busy.

Flight Air Traffic Control — questions

How do you avoid collisions?

Route aircraft around the edges rather than across the centre, and use longer looping paths to delay arrivals you can't handle yet. Redrawing a path at any time is free.

Do different aircraft land differently?

Yes — planes and helicopters use their own landing zones, so matching the aircraft to the right destination is part of the puzzle.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — drag to draw paths. Nothing to install.
