About 6 Peaks Solitaire

6 Peaks Solitaire is TriPeaks with twice the cards: six peaks built from two decks, across fifteen different layouts. The rule is the same and gloriously simple — take any exposed card that is one rank higher or lower than the open card at the bottom, in either direction and regardless of suit.

Doubling the cards changes the strategy more than you'd expect. With two decks in play, the card you need is far more likely to exist somewhere — but so is the trap of clearing the easy side of the board and stranding the other.

  1. Cards one higher or lower than the open card can be taken, regardless of suit.
  2. Each card you take becomes the new open card, so chains are possible.
  3. Draw from the stock when nothing matches — it's limited.
  4. Clear all six peaks to win the layout.

6 Peaks Solitaire tips

  • Plan the whole chain before starting it; a chain that ends one card short can strand a peak.
  • Work the peaks down evenly rather than clearing one completely.
  • Prefer the card that uncovers two others.
  • With two decks, count what's left — the duplicate you need may already be gone.

6 Peaks Solitaire — questions

How is 6 Peaks different from TriPeaks?

It uses two decks and six peaks instead of one deck and three, across fifteen layouts. The core rule — take exposed cards one rank above or below the open card — is unchanged.

Do suits matter?

No. Only rank matters, which is what makes the TriPeaks family so much faster than Klondike.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — tap cards to take them. Nothing to install.
