2048 Llama Edition swaps the numbered tiles for llamas, each merge producing a slightly more elaborate animal. The puzzle underneath is unchanged — the same corner strategy, the same tension as the board fills — but the visual matching gives it a different texture.

It's one of dozens of 2048 reskins that appeared after the original's success in 2014, and one of the better ones because the llama progression is legible: you can tell at a glance which two tiles are a pair.

• Use only three directions; the fourth is an emergency.
• Build a descending sequence along the edge from your corner.
