About Temple Run 2
Temple Run 2 is the endless runner that put the genre on every phone. You've stolen an idol; something enormous is chasing you; the path ahead is a series of turns, gaps, obstacles and zip lines that you have to read at speed. Imangi Studios released it in 2013 as a sequel to the 2011 original, adding proper environments, mine carts and a much prettier engine.
In the browser, swipes become the arrow keys — left and right turn, up jumps, down slides — and everything else is the same: collect coins, buy power-ups and characters, and go a bit further than last time before the demon monkeys catch you.

- You run automatically. Turn at every corner — missing one ends the run.
- Jump gaps and obstacles, slide under low barriers.
- Collect coins and gems; power-ups appear along the path.
- Mine cart and zip-line sections change the controls briefly — lean to steer the cart.
- The run ends when you hit an obstacle or miss a turn. Distance and coins are the score.
Temple Run 2 tips
- Turn late, not early. The game gives you a generous window at the corner itself but ignores an input made too soon.
- Lean constantly on straights — the side coins add up to power-ups you'd otherwise pay for.
- Buy the coin magnet and the shield first; head start is the least valuable upgrade.
- In the mine cart, small corrections. The cart is far more sensitive than the runner.
Temple Run 2 — questions
Can you play Temple Run 2 on a computer?
Yes — this page runs it in the browser with the arrow keys replacing swipes. Nothing to install.
What is chasing you in Temple Run?
A pack of demon monkeys, after you take the cursed idol from the temple. They catch up whenever you stumble, so consecutive mistakes end the run.
