About Aces and Kings Solitaire

Aces and Kings is a demanding two-deck solitaire. Eight foundations sit in the middle: four build upward from ace to king, and four build downward from king to ace, regardless of suit. Cards come from tableau piles and two reserve stacks, and only the top of each is available.

The double direction is what makes it hard. A card that would be perfect on an ascending foundation is often the one you need to keep for a descending one, so almost every move is a decision rather than an obvious play.

1. Build four foundations up from ace to king and four down from king to ace.
2. Suits don't matter for the foundations.
3. Play from the tableau piles and the reserves, taking only the top card of each.
4. Clear all 104 cards to win.

Aces and Kings Solitaire tips

• Balance the two directions. Racing one set of foundations strands the cards the other needs.
• Empty a tableau pile when you can — free space is the scarcest resource here.
• Hold middle-rank cards; they're the ones both directions compete for.
• Undo freely while learning; the game is hard enough without punishing exploration.
