About Space Waves

Space Waves takes the 'wave' mode from Geometry Dash and makes a whole game out of it. You control a small arrow that flies at a fixed speed through a neon tunnel; hold the button and it climbs at 45 degrees, release it and it dives at 45 degrees. That is the entire control scheme, and the levels are built to punish a single late release.

There are 33 levels, and each one is a short, dense course of spikes, moving walls and tight zig-zag corridors that must be flown in a rhythm. Crashing restarts the level immediately, runs last under a minute, and the game keeps a percentage of how far you got — which is the number everyone chases.

How to play Space Waves

Fly up
Hold space, ↑, W, click or tap

Esc or the menu button
  1. The arrow moves right on its own. Holding makes it rise at 45°, releasing makes it fall at 45° — there is no level flight.
  2. Fly through the gaps between obstacles without touching anything. Contact restarts the level.
  3. Reach the end of the level to unlock the next. Your best percentage is saved per level.
  4. Levels get longer and tighter; by the twenties the corridors are barely wider than the arrow.

Space Waves tips

  • Think in taps, not holds. A rapid alternation of short holds and releases flies nearly level, which is the trick for narrow horizontal corridors.
  • Look ahead at the shape of the corridor, not at the arrow; your input for the next turn happens before you reach it.
  • The zig-zag sections have a rhythm — count it out loud on the first few attempts.
  • If you die at the same spot ten times, it's usually a timing problem: try releasing one frame earlier.

Space Waves — questions

Is Space Waves the same as Geometry Dash wave mode?

It uses the same idea — hold to rise, release to fall at fixed angles — as a standalone game with its own 33 levels. If you can fly the wave in Geometry Dash, Space Waves will feel familiar.

How many levels does Space Waves have?

33. Each is a short course you must complete in one go; progress is saved as your best percentage per level, so a run that dies at 80% still counts as your record.

Does Space Waves work on a Chromebook?

Yes. It is a light 2D game with one control — space or click — and runs smoothly in the browser on any Chromebook.
