Google Doodle Cricket is the 2017 doodle for the ICC Champions Trophy: a team of crickets — the insects — batting against snails, in a tiny stadium with a big crowd. 1. The snail bowls; tap to swing as the ball reaches the bat.
2. Timing decides the shot: early or late swings score less or nothing; a perfect swing goes for six.
3. Missing the ball and hitting the stumps is out. One out ends the innings.
4. Your total runs is the score.

Google Cricket tips

• Watch the ball, not the bowler — the snail's run-up is a decoy for the timing.
• Slightly late swings go square for fours; perfectly timed ones go straight for six.
• The bowling speeds up as your score grows. Don't change your rhythm; adjust it a little.
• It's one out and done, so play a few balls safely before swinging big.
