About Cluster Rush

Cluster Rush is about running along the roofs of moving trucks. The trucks form a highway; they speed up, spread apart and shrink, and you jump from one to the next for as long as you can. Fall off and it's over. Landfall Games — the studio behind Totally Accurate Battlegrounds — released it in 2021, and the browser version turned it into a school-Chromebook fixture.

It is a pure skill game with one tricky idea: you can wall-jump off the sides of trucks, which turns a miss into a recovery if you're fast. Levels have a rising difficulty and the endless mode is where the scores are.

1. You start on a truck. Run along the roofs and jump to the next truck ahead.
2. Trucks change speed and spacing; time each jump for where the truck will be, not where it is.
3. Miss a jump and hit a truck's side? Jump again — wall-jumps push you back up.
4. Fall to the road and the run ends. Complete levels to unlock the next; endless mode scores by distance.

Cluster Rush tips

• Jump late and long. Most falls are from jumping while the next truck is still too far.
• Practise the wall-jump on purpose; it is the difference between a run and a record.
• Look ahead two trucks — the one after next tells you which lane to be in.
• Sprinting on a truck that's slowing down flings you forward; use it for big gaps.
