About Squid Game

This is a browser game inspired by the Netflix series Squid Game, in which contestants play children's playground games with fatal stakes. The best-known round — Red Light, Green Light, where you may only move while the doll faces away — translates perfectly into a browser game, and it's the one most versions lead with.

It's a fan-made adaptation rather than an official release: the rounds are recreations of the show's set pieces, built by browser-game developers. The tension of the original survives the translation surprisingly well.

1. In Red Light Green Light, run while the doll faces away and freeze completely the instant it turns.
2. Reach the finish line before the round's timer expires.
3. Later rounds recreate other games from the series with their own rules, shown before each starts.
4. Being caught moving — or failing a round — ends the run.

Squid Game tips

• Stop before the doll finishes turning, not as it turns. The detection is unforgiving.
• Move in short bursts rather than long sprints; you need to be able to stop instantly.
• Watch the timer as well as the doll — standing still too long is its own way to lose.
• In crowded rounds, stay away from the pack; other runners make it harder to judge your own timing.
