About Domino Block

Domino Block is the 'block' variant of dominoes: unlike the draw game, there's no boneyard to take from — if you can't play, you pass. That makes counting what's been played far more important, because the way to win is often to leave an end nobody can match.

It offers multiplayer, a computer opponent and a challenge mode, so there's a version for whichever way you want to play.

How to play Domino Block

Play a tile
Tap the tile, then the end of the chain
Pass
Automatic when you have no legal move
  1. Each player draws a hand of tiles.
  2. Play tiles end-to-end so the touching numbers match.
  3. If you can't play, you pass — there's no drawing.
  4. Empty your hand, or have the fewest pips when the game blocks, to win.

Domino Block tips

  • Count the played numbers; blocking is the whole game in this variant.
  • Play doubles early — they only match one number.
  • Keep a spread of numbers so you always have a legal move.
  • If you can leave both ends showing a number you hold several of, do it.

The game is blocked, and the player with the fewest pips left in hand wins the round.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes — tap to place tiles. Nothing to install.
