Ballistic is a shooting game built around trajectories rather than reflexes. Shots travel, bounce and interact with the environment, so hitting a target often means working out an angle rather than pointing at it — a ricochet off two walls can reach something no straight shot can.
The levels escalate by adding obstacles, moving targets and limited ammunition, which turns each screen into a small puzzle with a satisfying solution.
Shots reflect off surfaces at the mirror of their approach angle, so a shot hitting a wall at 45 degrees leaves at 45 degrees the other way. Planning two or three bounces is often the intended solution.
In later levels, yes — which turns each screen from a shooting gallery into a puzzle about the most efficient shot.
